About us

Surgicalillustration.com is a collaborative project between consultant surgeons and medical artists to create engaging, educational products for the healthcare industry. By combining the expert knowledge of consultant surgeons with the artistic skills of qualified medical artists it is possible to create highly effective medical training resources.
 

Our award winning senior medical artist Matt Briggs, is responsible for producing illustrations in a variety of different formats from hand painted illustrations through to 3d animations. He is also responsible for managing a network of other medical artists if the project requires the work of multiple artists. Matt has many years experience working as a professional medical artist for the NHS and various organisations on a freelance basis. He is particularly interested in 3d illustration and new media including the apple iPhone/iPad platform. Matt is currently researching ways of using the new iBooks author software recently released by Apple.

Consultant surgeons

Mr. Oudit is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon in Manchester, UK. He has published several papers in many leading journals. He has a keen interest in surgical education. Mr. Oudit is looking at new and interesting ways to further develop surgical education and to present in ways utilising modern technological advancements.
